Navigating Nurse Leader Wellness in America's Heartland

As stress levels of nurse leaders increased during the pandemic, personal wellness was threatened. These concerns lead to a multi-phase study that used an online survey and focus groups to investigate the current wellness of tertiary and rural nurse leaders working in the country's largest rural healthcare system. Wellness interventions were prioritized by the participants. Nurse leaders not only identified interventions specific to their settings, but stressed "one mold does not fit all."
