Academic-Practice Partnerships Impact Environment of Students and Nurses
Session encourages the participant to conduct their own investigation of the outcomes of costly measures that are undertaken to improve nursing workforce. This study corrected false impressions that student nurses are "not like those who preceded them" and that the supervising bedside nurses routinely "ate their young". Academic practice partners can work together to demonstrating caring and respect for those dedicated nurses and faculty and routinely evaluate the clinical learning environment.
Invisible Work: Nurse Manager Leadership before and after COVID-19
This session explores how nurse manager roles evolved before and after COVID-19, revealing expanded responsibilities, invisible labor, and sustained role creep. Using mixed-methods data, presenters will highlight the impact on the nurse manager practice environment, job satisfaction, retention, and leadership development, offering strategies to support nurse managers across all levels in today’s complex health care environment.
