Staffing and scheduling is a major contributor to administrative burden for nurse managers. Through a nursing informatics collaboration at Covenant Health, we partnered with a startup leveraging AI to unburden our nurse managers and reduce premium labor spend. During a hospital-wide pilot, the AI platform saved each nurse manager 1 hour/day, reduced manual staffing operations by 50%, and achieved 98% staff satisfaction. With this success, we will scale the platform enterprise-wide by March 2025.
