A Statewide Initiative: NWESC Revitalized Nursing Workplace Health
After implementing NWESC, hospitals had consistent improvement in work environments, empowering staff nurses to collaborate with leaders and drive change. A CNO will discuss NWESC’s structure and process, experiences of NWESC leaders statewide, and the improvement in nurses’ perceptions of the healthy work environment (HWE). Nurse leaders attending this session will be armed with information on the NWESC initiative providing them with the tools needed to improve the HWE at their organization.

Self-Awareness in Nurse Managers and Their Staff Perception of Healthy Work
This presentation examines the link between nurse managers' self-awareness and a healthy work environment, as well as the connection between nurse managers' and clinical nurses' perceptions of a healthy work environment. The study involved 46 nurse managers and 62 staff nurses from an academic medical center, revealing a positive relationship between nurse managers' self-awareness and clinical nurses' perceptions of a healthy work environment.
